When a passerby unexpectedly encounters the future convenience store called “Blue House,”

the machine quietly asks : “Are you from the future?”

Blue House is a street art project that places an installation in the middle of the city, conceived as a vending machine that has come from the future.Equipped with interactive elements, this installation actively draws the audience into the performance, proposing a different form of street art that goes beyond passive viewing.

Through this installation, the project questions how we perceive the environment that surrounds us and creates moments where theater is born within the audience’s own reflection.It invites people to see the familiar present from a new perspective and, by encouraging them to talk about and collect these experiences, allows them to imagine the future while reexamining the present.

Facing the installation places the audience in a special, unusual situation.In that moment, they become aware of their own gaze and perspective. Whether they choose to follow the next steps of interaction or simply return to daily life, the experience creates a space for inner dialogue.The work thus enters the audience’s life, gently blending reality and fiction without them even realizing it.

Through its carefully designed structure and content, the performance does not occur on a traditional stage, but within the audience’s own thoughts.This is the new moment of street art that Blue House seeks to create.

거리 한 모퉁이에 설치된 자판기 하나가, 주변 풍경과는 전혀 어울리지 않는 푸른 네온빛을 밝히고 있다.

우연히 길을 걷다 미래의 편의점 ‘블루하우스’를 마주한 관객에게, 자판기는 조용히 질문을 던진다.“당신은 미래에서 오셨나요?”

‘블루하우스’는 거리 한복판에 미래에서 온 자판기라는 설정의 설치물을 놓아두는 거리예술 프로젝트이다.인터랙션 장치가 내장된 이 설치물은 관객을 능동적으로 극 안으로 끌어들이며, 기존의 관람 중심적 거리예술과는 다른 방식의 경험을 제안한다.

이 프로젝트는 설치물을 매개로 우리가 일상적으로 마주하는 환경을 바라보는 시선에 대해 질문을 던지고, 관객의 사유 속에서 극이 발생하는 순간을 만들어낸다.익숙한 현재를 낯설게 바라보게 하고, 그것을 이야기하고 공유하는 과정을 통해 관객 스스로가 미래를 상상하며 현재를 되돌아보도록 한다.

설치물과의 대면은 관객을 하나의 ‘특수한 상황’ 속에 놓이게 한다.그 순간 관객은 자신의 시선을 자각하게 되고, 이후 이어지는 행동을 수행하든 수행하지 않든, 일상 속에서 자신과 대화하는 시간을 갖게 된다.작업은 그렇게 관객의 삶 안으로 스며들고, 어느새 현실과 허구가 자연스럽게 섞이는 경험을 만들어낸다.

치밀하게 설계된 구조와 내용 속에서, 극은 무대 위가 아니라 관객의 사유 안에서 일어난다.바로 그 지점이 ‘블루하우스’가 만들어내고자 하는 새로운 거리예술의 순간이다.
